Dixons Brooklands Academy celebrate Menstural Hygiene Day

Year 10 Health and Social Care students took part in a lesson to raise awareness for World Menstrual Hygiene Day which took place in May. The aim of this awareness day is to reduce the social stigma regarding periods and ensure people around the world have access to affordable menstrual hygiene products.   

The students learnt about the aims of the campaign, the menstrual cycle and created a bracelet which displays the menstrual cycle and their support for the campaign which they can discuss with others and spread the message.
