Dixons Brooklands Academy's catering team wins prestigious award

We are delighted to announce that our catering team has been recognised for their outstanding school meals, winning the Contract Catering Education Award.
Our team’s approach is simple but effective: cooking from scratch using fresh, high-quality ingredients – from hearty curries to homemade muffins and cookies – and listening carefully to student feedback to keep menus both nutritious and appealing.
Behind the scenes, our team creates a friendly and positive working environment. With support from teachers, the administrative team, and the site team, lunches are served efficiently, giving students time to enjoy their break while receiving a well-balanced meal.
Reflecting on the award, our team shared:
“This recognition brings a smile to our faces. It can be a challenging job at times, but seeing students return for more or knowing that a meal may be the only one some children have that day makes it all worthwhile.”
