World’s Largest Foam Board Aircraft

Last academic year, in conjunction with the University of Manchester, our Year 10 students helped construct the World’s Largest Foam Board Aircraft. Following a successful test flight, the University of Manchester visited Dixons Brooklands Academy on Monday 18th September to deliver an assembly to our Year 7, 9 and 10 students which gave them the opportunity to see the aircraft first hand.

This is just one of the many STEM experiences that our students will be able to participate in this year. We have a programme of events throughout the year to allow students to engage in a variety of activities to enhance their STEM knowledge.
