Parents as partners

At Dixons Brooklands Academy, we believe that strong partnerships with parents and carers are essential to student success. We are committed to open, regular, and meaningful communication, ensuring families are fully involved in their child’s education. Our parental engagement includes weekly newsletters, an active Facebook presence, and regular updates from both advisory and subject teachers to keep parents informed and connected.

Key events such as our meet the advisor evening and information evenings provide opportunities for families to engage directly with staff, ask questions, and learn more about how we support students in their learning and development. We also work closely with the local community through initiatives like the Wythenshawe Parent Power meetings, empowering parents to have a voice and contribute to school life.

Parental feedback is highly valued, and we regularly gather input through surveys to help shape our priorities and improve our provision. By working together with families, we aim to create a supportive, united approach that helps every student thrive.
